Aprašymas

Mere Diary is an ethical and aesthetic breakthrough. Its verses are like splinters-shards that time and again graze the flesh. There are no straightforward choices here; neither comfort nor ease is sought. Because the discourse never follows a level path, the reader sways-almost climbs-up from the base of a sculptural work of words whose physicality allows us to circle it from every angle. Roffé's poetry is always a poised light-a beam that astounds and blinds, only to let us return to ourselves after that turning point. The poem is luminous and surprising like the encounter with what lies on the other side. Mercedes Roffé never fails to dazzle us.
